Vermittlung wissenschaftlicher Kompetenz mit Dhoch3 im vietnamesischen Kontext

Academic writing requires linguistic and discursive competence in the academic context and therefore calls for target-group- and context-sensitive instruction (Knorr & Nardi, 2011; Knorr & Pogner, 2015). In 2023, the module Academic Writing was introduced at the German Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, as preparation for the students to write a German-language bachelor’s thesis. It is based on Module 6 of the Dhoch3 learning platform, whose materials were didactically adapted to the Vietnamese higher education context. The article analyzes the curricular and didactic design and further
development of the module and, drawing on focus group discussions with students, provides
insights into the context-specific implementation of the Dhoch3 materials as well as students’
perceptions of this instructional setting.
