Professional Communication, Legal Linguistics, German as a Foreign Language (GFL)Abstract
In the summer semester of 2024, the elective course “Legal Linguistics” was introduced at the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in Lutsk (Ucraine). The aim was to familiarize German studies students – future German language teachers and translators – with the legal language and to provide them with didactic approaches to specialized communication. The foundation of the course was Module 5 “Specialized Communication in German” from the Dhoch3 platform, which was implemented in a blended learning format. Participants analyzed theoretical models, reflected on specialized texts, and developed their own teaching materials. The project demonstrates how digital learning resources can be successfully integrated into local teaching
contexts and how they contribute to the linguistic and professional qualification in the field of German as a Foreign Language.
