Abstract

This article is a practical report on three different training formats. In the context of German as a Foreign Language (DaF) the trainings were held in Croatia and in Romania. In the article, each training format is briefly outlined with its respective context, the seminar process is described, and conclusions are drawn from the results of the data collected during the process. The article concludes with the fundamental questions of which elements contribute to the sustainability of training programs and how they do so. The article is intended as an impulse for trainers to further reflect on how they can contribute to the sustainable professionalization of DaF teachers through the design of their training sessions, the selection of content, and their own style as seminar leaders.
